Make: Steampunk Flintlock Blunderbuss

Golding up
So, this plastic flintlock blunderbuss was $2 from the local $2 shop - so the perfect price ^_^. I removed the decorative panels from both sides and then used the Rubb 'n' Buff on them and the barrel of the gun, leaving the "wooden" stock alone (which had a light brushing of gold paint). I also used it on the orange safety ring at the top of the gun, so it blended a little better.Once dried, I went through the same steps as before, painting the raised surfaces to highlight them. This time I used a little of the red with the copper over the top but mostly I used a delightful dark brown metallic colour* on what would be the bands holding the barrel to the stock.
The I added a few gears 'cause "steampunk" and then put a layer of gloss varnish over the lot.
Lovely! ^_^
